Zagreb is a vibrant capital and the largest city of Croatia and a unique Central European hub. Nestled between the Sava River and the Medvednica Mountains, it seamlessly blends 900 years of rich history with a laid-back, cafe-lined lifestyle, world-class museums, and a thriving arts and tech scene. Coffee culture is very important and has been important since the Turkish Occupation and is influenced by the Italians today and with a twinkle in the eye, our host Ranko Pećarević reminds that Croatians love to drink coffee and to chat in the coffee houses and don’t like to work so much or rather work is done over a good cup of coffee.
The meeting has been very warmly guided by our dear President Özlem Odabas Tavares. It has been great to get to know to M.Sc. Roman Završek, LL.M, Attorney at law and Senior partner with Odvetniška družba Završek & Šnajder, o.p., d.o.o. in Ljubljana, Slovenia and we are all looking forward to a prosperous cooperation with Slovenia within our alliance of independent law firms. Ranko Pećarević did not only bring us close to the coffee culture, he and Sanja Relić made this meeting to an unforgettable event, offering us a platform for very detailed and interesting exchange about the most recent company law project of the European Union, the EU Inc. presented by Alix Frank-Thomasser in her function as the CCBE Company Law Committee’s Chair and pampering us with a vibrant welcome evening at Lari & Penati Bistro, Zagreb with its delicious Croatian wines and food.
This meeting’s traditionally festive Meeting Dinner on Saturday night surprised us with the finest fish food and wines in a modern at the same time traditional atmosphere at Theatrium by Filho Restaurant, Zagreb. We warmly thank our hosts offering such a wonderful encounter with Croatian haute cuisine, wines and an unforgettable hospitality.
